Trim & Glide

The beauty of hulls is that they force you to slow down and minimize your efforts. These are boards for thinkers. I really dig that about hulls. I'm in love with my old Haut again. I had some super fun waves on it yesterday. The timing is so different, it's a good difference. I hadn't had the Haut in waves that size in a while and really loved the way it moves.

Leviathan Lives

Thanks to Jim Noland of Noland Surfcraft for bringing Leviathan to life. At 11'6 and 45 lbs. she's a freight train. You truly feel like Hawaiian Royalty riding her. Thanks to Tom Wegener for the inspiration, and a special thanks also to my beautiful wife Sarah J. for christening her with the champagne of beers!!!

Gatos in the Holy City

We're stoked to have a new batch of boards on the way. While Robin is somewhere in Europa he is sending his protoge JohnBoy to hand deliver the next batch of sleds. They're sick... Stay tuned for a super spookey Halloween surf seshwon with JohnBoy!!!

Indian Summer

Fall is best in late September when twilight glistens and the shadows are long. The water is warm and the air is cool. This is a time when fading light filters through brisk air becoming orange and delicious. This is a time when pressure can disappear. This is a time to breathe while the rest of the world races by. Time can stand still. I feel free and content with my mind full of open spaces and my face full of salt spray as I drop into a right hand bowl in the chest high range compliments of the South East swell and the North North West wind. This feeling I’ve known and lived. My heart soars as the thought of these ethereal moments linger in my soul.
